Presidents' Day Concert Feature Copeland's Songs and Andrew Masich

Andrew E. Masich, President and CEO of the Senator John Heinz Regional History Center, takes the podium at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall in Carnegieat 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20 to deliver Lincoln's memorable oratory during the library's annual Presidents Day concert. Copland's stirring tribute to our 16th President concludes a concert performed by the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra, led by Warren Davidson.  Mezzo soprano Katherine Soroka joins the Orchestra to sing a selection of Copland's Old American Songs.

A dessert reception in the Lincoln Gallery follows the performance. The Lincoln Gallery and the ACFL&MH's rare Civil War room, the Captain Thomas Espy Post of the Grand Army of the Republic will be open on Presidents Day from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., then again after the concert.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $5 children/students with I.D. www.carnegiecarnegie.org. Free shuttle from the parking lot on E. Main Street, opposite Carnegie Coffee Company.
