Looking for a Place to Spend the 4th of July?

People looking for a great place to base their Fourth of July fun, should look no further than Carnegie Science Center.

Those interested in viewing the fireworks from the banks of the North Shore are invited to park at the Science Center on July 4th.  A special event rate of $15 will be collected upon entry to the Science’s Center’s lot. Visitors can come inside and beat the heat, and enjoy special live shows and demonstrations. The Science Center will be open for extended hours on July 4th, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.. General admission rates apply.

After a day of science fun, visitors can head onto the riverfront trail for an up-close view of the fireworks. Many great viewing areas are just steps from the Science Center parking lot.

Those looking for reserved fireworks viewing can purchase tickets for the Science Center’s July 4th VIP Fireworks Experience. For the price of $60 per person, visitors will enjoy free parking, access to all Science Center exhibits, an Omnimax film, and be able to watch the fireworks from the best view in town - either from the USS Requin submarine or the Science Center’s 5th floor overlook. After the fireworks are over, VIP guests will be treated to a special live demonstration show to cap off the evening.

Tickets for the VIP experience are very limited and sell out quickly. To register, call 412.237.3400, then press 7, or visit www.CarnegieScienceCenter.org.
